The weekend is almost here and I cannot wait! I am having a much needed pool day with one of my girlfriends. A lot of catching up and margaritas are on the agenda! I wanted to share with you my must-have poolside style and where you can pick up these killer items.
A cute little bikini or cut-out one piece is a must! Supermodel/ rock star wife, Susan Holmes McKagan has an amazing swimwear line that is to die for! I have a couple of her bikinis and they are amazing! Some of them are a little pricey but many of them you can get on sale for a mere $50. That's a better steal than a VS bikini.
I love my green mirror Ray-Ban sunglasses . I would highly recommend any of the Ray-Ban mirror aviators... There's a color for everyone!
Jessica Simpson shoes are my absolute favorite and when I found these cork wedges on DSW's site, I died! They are perfect for elongating your leg and looking fab poolside.
Protecting your skin from the sun is super important! A straw fedora or cowboy hat is the perfect accessory that doubles as a shield from the sun! Hawaiian Tropic is my favorite sunscreen. It works great and smells so yummy. The Nyx tinted balms are a great way to keep your lips hydrated and adding a little bit of color.
Last but not least, one of my favorite nail polishes for the summer... Essie's Fiji. It's a beautiful pale pink that makes you look super tan!
Here are the links to some of these products: Susan Holmes Swimwear, Ray-Ban, wedges, cowboy hat. The nail polish, lip balm, and suntan lotion can be purchased at Ulta.
I hope you enjoy this poolside style guide!

Summer Style Essential: Surplice Cami
Summer is finally here! And with it comes lots of sunshine, yummy margaritas, and most prominent... hot hot hot temps! One of my favorite summer style essentials this year is the surplice cami. It's comfy, lightweight, and a little sexy. You can dress it down or dress it up depending on the accessories you pair with it! This is going to be one of my go-to tops for a lot of the concerts I will be going to at outdoor venues over the next couple months. I have found some great options on different sites that I highly recommend you check out! The top on the left is my absolute favorite even though it was the priciest option. Hey, a girl's gotta splurge sometimes.. right?
So, if you are looking to splurge or simply have fallen in love with the top like I have, go over to Revolve Clothing's website. This specific one is the Lanston Surplice Cami, but they have a ton of options at various prices. Forever 21 is always a fabulous alternative with killer prices. Right now they have a lot of surplice options if you do a search. Another cami I found was on Bebe's site. It is black and white, which is really fun since you usually do not see these tops in two colors.
Try pairing one of these camis with a long layered necklace, a stack of bracelets, leather leggings, and platform pumps for a perfect date night ensemble. Or if you are going for a more casual look, go with a pair of jean shorts, Ray Bans, and your choice of wedges, converses, or sandals.
Here are the links to some of the fab surplice camis I found: revolve clothing, forever 21, bebe.

Summertime Beach Hair without the Ocean!
Summer is the perfect time to let your hair down! I love wavy beach hair and I found a way to achieve this look, no ocean needed! It's super easy and is a great, quick way to style your hair for work.
All you need is this Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray by Not Your Mother's. It is inexpensive and can be found at any drugstore. All you have to do is evenly spray the product all over your hair. Use your hands to scrunch sections of your hair. To add an extra boost, let your hair air dry after washing. Once your hair is partially dry, twist it up into a bun on the top of your head. Once it's dry, use the same spray and scrunch technique to get amazing beach waves!
This product is great! It doesn't make your hair feel greasy or like there is build up the next day!
Now go rock sexy beach waves this summer!

Sultry Courtney Bingham Inspired Makeup
I stumbled upon this picture of Courtney Bingham-Sixx the other day and instantly fell in love with her sultry makeup. This would be the perfect look to rock to summer shows and festivals so I just had to recreate it!
Courtney is very tan so start off with some St. Tropez self tanner! Get the flawless face look with my favorite, go-to products... Revlon ColorStay foundation, Maybelline Age Rewind under eye concealer, and Rimmel Stay Matte powder. Contour right under the cheek bones and along the jaw line with Revlon Nearly Naked powder in medium. Top off the cheeks with a gorgeous Milani blush in Corallina.
Now onto those eyes! Prep your lids with Urban Decay's primer potion. We are going to use Kat Von D's True Romance eyeshadow palette to add some drama! Mix the two gray shadows and apply all over the lid. Add a little bit of the purple to the lids. Use the crease shadow in the Wet n Wild Sweet as Candy palette to blend out and define your crease. Line your upper lash line, waterline, and bottom lash line with Revlon's ColoryStay liner. Smudge it out on the top and bottom using the black shadow in the Kat Von D palette. Add a couple coats of Maybelline Falsie's Flared mascara and some Ardell half lashes!
Jouer's lipstick in Meredith is the perfect color to match Courtney's pout.
Tousle your hair using Not Your Mother's Sea Salt Spray and pull it into a loose, messy side braid. Pull out some shorter layers around your face and you are ready for action!

How 2 Guide to Applying False Lashes!
False lashes really add that extra drama and make eyes look sultry and sexy. But like many other girls, I found them to be daunting. While I was in Vegas I jumped in head first and was determined to master the application of false lashes. It is Vegas after all. I'm ready to share with you some tips and tricks that will help you flawlessly apply those lashes.
First things first. Apply all your eye makeup... shadow, liner, etc. and add a thin layer of mascara. Now get your lashes, glue, and tweezers ready for action! My favorites are the Ardell Natural lashes, Duo lash glue, and the mini Revlon tweezers. Grab your lash with the tweezers and apply enough glue to coat the rim. Now wait! Wait a good 45 seconds to make sure the glue really gets tacky. That way when you place your lashes down, they won't slip and slide. Once your glue is tacky, slightly close your eyes and place the center of the lashes down as close to the lash line as possible. Then place down the inner and outer corners. Close your tweezers and gently push down along your lash line. Take your fingers and press your real lashes into your falsies. Last but not least, add another coat of mascara to blend all the lashes together!
I hate it when the inner corner of my lashes start to pop up as the night goes on so I like to use the half lashes. A little tip if you cannot find the half lashes... Buy the full lashes and cut in half. Then you get two sets of lashes for the price of one! Can't beat that!
Hope this helps you achieve fabulous lashes!
