This Black Nail Polish is a Knockout!

I love black nail polish! It is one of the few polished I have used an entire bottle of and needed to repurchase. Now, I have had my fair share of different brands of black polish... From the good, to the bad, to the amazing! I have to say Revlon's Knockout is my all time favorite. I cannot say enough good things about this products.

Most importantly, it is affordable. It's not one of those brands that is $10-$12 for a bottle of nail polish that is probably going to dry up before you finish it. Secondly, this polish stays on forever. No joke. And no top coat needed. Lastly, it is not watery. I hate black polishes that are very thin and almost see through. Not this product! It is a true opaque!

With fall right around the corner, there is no better time to break out those dark polishes. If you are in the market for a black polish, Revlon's Knockout is the way to go!

Motley Crue Adventures and My Must Have Products for Concerts!

Sorry it has been quite here for a little bit. I have been on the road traveling to various Motley Crue concerts up and down the east coast. To say I had the time of my life is an understatement! From having front row in front of Nikki Sixx, to him throwing me his pick, to him spitting on me, to meeting him... It's been a dream come true!

One thing that has not been a dream come true at the shows has been the weather. I've been rocking out in scorching heat, ungodly humidity, and chilly rain. Between terrible weather conditions and Nikki's waterfall of spit, somehow my hair and makeup has held up throughout the four plus hour concerts. So, I wanted to share with you some of the hair and makeup products I have been using that have been life savers!

I have been straightening my hair and, although it doesn't remain completely straight by the end of the concert, it has held up extremely well. After I wash it, I use Chi Straight Guard and Aussie Miraculously Smooth Styling Mousse. These products really help maintain the styling and avoid frizzing. Once my hair is dry, I straighten it and spray with Loreal Elnett Satin Hairpray. This stuff is great; it doesn't make your hair crunchy like some hairsprays. Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray has been keeping my makeup in place, as the name says... all night! After I finish applying my makeup I spray the product all over my face and then I don't have to worry about creasing, melting, ect.

I have one more Motley Crue show this coming weekend then a break until October. Words cannot express how much I am going to miss this band when they take their final bow!

OOTD: New York City Broadway Edition.

This past weekend I took a mini trip up to one of my favorite places.. New York City! I always have to see at least one Broadway show while I'm there and this visit was no different. I saw the incredibly talented Ramin Karimloo in Les Miserables again and Rock of Ages. Now, the appropriate attire for shows has become increasingly casual over the years but I still wanted to look nice without over doing it. Also, when I checked the weather is was calling for rain all day. This made picking an outfit out for the shows before even leaving my house quite the challenge since I did not want to pack a full suitcase for one night. I ended up decided on an outfit that worked out really well! So, without further ado, here is my  outfit of the day: NYC Broadway edition.

I knew I wanted to wear one of my super cute and inexpensive skater skirts from H&M. I paired it with a gray crop top from American Eagle and my all time favorite, faux leather jacket by Blank Denim. It wasn't super warm out so I opted for my Steve Madden Troopa boots, which are super comfortable for all of the walking we were doing.

If you have never had a chance to visit New York City, I highly recommend it. And I hope this outfit inspires you for your trip!
