DIY Stiletto Nails.

Stiletto, or claw, nails have definitely become a popular trend within the past year or so. I love them just as much as the next person, but I have not been able to commit to a profession, acrylic set. Sometimes I want my short nails and at other times, I crave long, sexy nails! That's how I came up with the solution of DIY stiletto nails!

I picked up the Kiss Medium Length Active Oval Glue on Nials Kit, which comes with 100 nails in various sized plus the nail glue. These nails are clear, which allows you to paint them any color once applied. I found the size that best fit all of my nails and laid them out accordingly.

Be sure to have your natural nails trimmed down short and round of the corners. While holding the fake nail up to your real nail, use large nail clippers to cut one side. The clippers should be lined up from the center of the fake nail (where you want the point) to the corner of your real nail. Then cut the other side to match. Once you have all your fake nails cut in the general shape you desire, you can go back with a nail file and make adjustments.

Now you are ready to glue on your nails! This glue is pretty strong, so be careful when applying! I always start with my pinkies and work my way to the thumbs. Trust me, it makes it a lot easier to glue on the thumb nails last. Make sure to press hard on all areas of the nail to make sure it's really on there!

Let them sit for a minute, paint them, and your done!

These will last about a week to a week and a half. The longest I've had a set last was two weeks. Sometimes a nail or two will come loose but you can just reglue them on and you're good to go! They do not damage your nature nail if you let them fall of naturally or soak them in nail polish remover before taking off. Also, nail polish lasts forever on these bad boys, which is so great.
